Karen's Review Of This Property:

Located between the squares of San Francisco and El Salvador at the heart of what has always been considered the mercantile center of Seville, the area where German bankers, Flemish and French merchants, and Genoese dealers traded, you find Las Casas de los Mercaderes. This hotel, owned by the Duke Ignacio Medina, offers quality accommodation in Seville at a mid-range price. Behind its modern façade the hotel opens up to an 18th-century courtyard with tall, elegant arches and wrought-iron balconies. While its heart is historic and its location even more so, the hotel is essentially modern, with contemporary bedrooms offering TVs, mini-bars, and sparkling bathrooms. You are enveloped by Las Casas de los Mercaderes’ crisp, light, airy ambiance as soon as you step into the spacious marble lobby. As we set off to explore the surrounding pedestrian-only street area we were thrilled by the lack of “touristy” shops. A few minutes’ walk finds you at the cathedral in the center of Seville.
