Karen's Review Of This Property:

This beautiful inn, set against a picture-perfect backdrop of the crowning castle, is a welcome haven from the crowds that this picturesque village attracts. Casa d’Óbidos is a charming complex: white-stucco buildings with orange-tiled roofs are blissfully surrounded by gorgeous gardens and a delightful pool. Guestrooms are housed in three buildings: the main building, the loft, and the cottage. In the main building off a lovely high-ceilinged corridor, doors open onto guest salons, spacious breakfast room, and guest accommodations. The cottage, Casa Matilde, a complete house with two charming bedrooms, kitchen, and living rooms, and a new flat, Casa Cristina—with three bedrooms, bath, a living room and lovely kitchen, fully equipped—would be a perfect retreat for families or friends. The loft, Casa Leonor a spacious apartment with its own kitchenette, can accommodate two people. Settle in and make Casa d’Óbidos your home base for exploring the region. This is not a typical bed and breakfast—the Sarmentos are gracious hosts and they also employ a staff to anticipate your needs. The property is large enough that one feels one can come and go with some anonymity.
