Karen's Review Of This Property:

I adore the Casa de Canedo—from absolutely gorgeous and meticulously groomed grounds, to the handsome and very commodious guestrooms. A rugged road delivers you to its entry. Park and then walk under a canopy of wisteria, glimpsing a gorgeous pool and flower-filled grounds. Everything about the Casa de Canedo is divine, from the display of earthenware jugs, to the walk-in fireplace, to the priceless antiques, and the gorgeous artwork. The feeling is country, not formal, and with each room I kept thinking, “If only I could replicate this at home!” My favorite guestrooms are the elegantly furnished Patio Room, with its beautiful country tiles in the bathroom and its own patio terrace looking out over the vineyards and countryside; and the Lake Suite, which overlooks the courtyard pond and has a lovely bedroom and separate living room with red sofas before a fireplace. Guests enjoy lots of public areas—a library, piano room, sitting room, and game room with billiard table. Definitely ask to see the elaborate chapel. Lunch or dinner, offering regional specialties à la carte, either in the cozy dining room or at the outdoor barbecue, is a treat.

.....We loved Casa de Canedo and it was everything you said! The place was beautiful, the breakfasts and dinners were wonderful and we had a great visit. We stayed 7 nights and we did feel it was too remote for the vineyard visiting we wanted to do... we had to drive almost 1 hour to go to any of them...I would suggest a shorter stay...
