Karen's Review Of This Property:

Pousada de Sagres-Infante has a prime location overlooking the merging waters of the Mediterranean and the Atlantic. Named after Prince Henry the Navigator, the pousada is a long, two-story, whitewashed building with a red-tiled roof punctuated with elaborate chimneys. Once inside you realize how well-planned the site is-the pousada faces onto a large grassy terrace (with a swimming pool) that stretches out to the very edge of the bluff. Most of the public rooms and all the bedrooms face this same direction, capturing the splendid view of the sea. Inside, the pousada has an appropriate nautical theme. There is a spacious tiled lounge with a large fireplace and attractive furniture. In addition to good food, the dining room has a fireplace, an arched ceiling, and colorful décor. The good-sized bedrooms are not opulent, but they are attractively refurbished in regional-style furniture and are very pleasant. Some of the bedrooms have balconies (at no extra cost). The Pousada de Sagres-Infante provides serenity and comfort in a relatively untamed, western edge of the famous Algarve coast, while still offering easy access to the adjacent beach and an easy drive to other more crowded Algarve locales.
