Karen's Review Of This Property:

The Vila Joya, one of the Algarve’s most deluxe hotels, sits on a wooded bluff overlooking an unspoiled stretch of sand called Praia de Galé. There is a Moorish flair to the hotel, although it is not painted the typical Moorish white, but instead is a pretty shade of honey-tan. Its waterfront location is outstanding and its gardens are glorious. A large oval pool, surrounded by a lawn dotted with white lounge chairs, nestles on a terrace below the hotel. Beyond the pool, a private gate opens to a path leading down to the beach where giant sand formations lend a whimsical look and create secluded hideaways. The restaurant is definitely worth a mention. Michelin gives it two stars—a much-coveted award. The dining room is intimate with a vaulted brick ceiling and open fireplace. This, combined with meticulous service and fine cuisine, is an unbeatable recipe for those to whom money is no object (the quality of the dining is particularly important since breakfast and dinner are included with the room rate). This is a lovely, and professionally managed property and for guests whose prime concern is location, excellent food, and beautiful surroundings, the Vila Joya is ideal.
