Karen's Review Of This Property:
Villa Ganz is situated close to the historic central area of the city. Many of the homes here are colonial mansions that have been wonderfully restored as shops and upscale office space, or in this case, as a boutique hotel. Villa Ganz opened its doors in 2001 after undergoing a complete renovation. The result is a charming hotel that makes you feel right at home from the minute you walk through the front door. The rooms and suites are spacious and detailed, each uniquely designed and decorated. The garden at the rear of the property is a welcome escape from the busy boulevard out front, with a lounging area that’s complete with a fireplace. In the mornings, this is where a buffet breakfast, made up mostly of fruits, cereals and yogurts, is served. Villa Ganz will serve lunch or dinner upon request, or there are many restaurants and cafes nearby. Copies of their menus are available at the reception. The central salon is full of books in multiple languages and there’s always hot coffee in the morning or chilled Chardonnay in the afternoon. Villa Ganz delivers comfort and character with style, and is a welcome starting point for exploring Guadalajara or one of the many neighboring towns.
