One of the most beautiful bays along the Mexican Pacific coastline is located a few hours south of Puerto Vallarta called Costa Careyes since it was home for this variety of turtles, this bay also hides one of the most beautiful and exclusive hotels in the area “El Careyes Beach Resort.” Guestrooms vary depending on the category, but all are classically decorated with the Mexican coast style, some might have a jacuzzi or living room and kitchenette but all are situated around an incredible meandering pool which snakes its way through lush tropical gardens. Its private beach is perfect for swimming, snorkeling or kayaking while sailing and deep sea fishing is available nearby. For land-based fun you can practice tennis or exercise in the gym followed by a relaxing massage at the spa. Horse back riding and bikes are also available and a fun way to explore the area. However, a favorite activity is simply lounging and reading on the huge cushions at the Camas Careyes during sunset where the staff makes sure your every need is met. The beach front restaurant offers a wide variety of choices and the cuisine is excellent.
