Karen's Review Of This Property:
Set on a hillside with beautiful views of the deep-blue water of Acapulco Bay, Las Brisas offers a romantic getaway. Add the fact that most guestrooms have their own small swimming pool tucked on the terrace (the other guestrooms share a pool between two rooms) and you are in for a special treat. When we first stayed at Las Brisas over 30 years ago, we could not imagine that the brochure could be accurate: that our room would have its own private pool—we had to see it to believe it. Now other hotels have copied this extremely imaginative concept, but Las Brisas was the first with the idea and remains known worldwide as a honeymoon retreat. The guestrooms are in contemporary-style pink casitas terracing down the hillside on the 110-acre property, which spreads both above and below the main highway. The bedrooms and the Bella Vista Restaurant (a delightful place to dine with an outdoor terrace with an unbeatable view of the bay) are high on the hill. On the lower side of the highway, Las Brisas has its own private La Concha Beach Club with an informal restaurant and several swimming pools nestled on a terrace above the sea. The property is so spread out that it’s a long way from the guestrooms to the waterfront, but should you decide to leave the privacy of your terrace, just call and one of the hotel’s jaunty little jeeps will whisk you down to the Beach Club.
