Karen's Review Of This Property:
La Casona is a treasure—a charming, beautifully managed small hotel nestled in a lovely residential area. Staying here, you would never believe you were in the world’s second-largest city: instead, you feel as snug as can be, pampered with such loving attention that you feel like a guest in a private home. Indeed, facing a quiet street with a tree-lined parkway in the middle, the pretty, two-story, pink hotel looks like a charming private residence. Inside, the ambiance continues, with an intimate lounge with lovely slip-covered sofas and chairs, a grand piano in the corner, soft lighting, bouquets of fresh flowers, and nicely framed paintings decorating the walls. The bedrooms too look like those in a private home. Each is individually decorated, but all exude the understated elegance reminiscent of a bedroom in an English country estate. Rooms are not large but adequate in size and have all the most modern conveniences. La Casona has a musical theme throughout and the bedrooms each display a musical instrument. The hotel has a cute restaurant with checked tablecloths, humorous paintings of dogs in fancy dress, and an exterior courtyard with fountain for outdoor dining in balmy weather. La Casona is not in the center of town, but taxis quickly whisk you to wherever you want to go, then after all your sightseeing you have the pleasure of returning to your oasis of comfort.
