Karen's Review Of This Property:
Libusche and Juerg Wiesendanger left successful careers in Zurich and moved to Mexico with the goal of creating a small, deluxe inn offering fine food and accommodations. They built their dream a ten-minute drive from the quaint town of Todos Santos, taking great care not to disturb the natural beauty of the pristine freshwater lagoon and untouched nature they found. The restaurant, headed by a top-notch chef, serves a creative blend of Mexican and Swiss cuisine in an attractive dining room with potted plants, a whimsically painted fireplace, windows capturing a view of the sea. Most guests perfer to dine outside either on the bar terrace looking out to the cacti and palm trees or on the whale deck overlooking the tropical gardens, lagoon and the Pacific ocean with its magnificent sunsets. Seven guestrooms, located in two adjacent buildings, are all beautifully appointed and have excellent bathrooms. The décor takes advantage of the beautiful Mexican fabrics but the fine linens and pillows were brought from Switzerland. The Honeymoon Suite has a large private terrace and cozy patio with hot tub for two. The two junior suites each offer a romantic outdoor Jacuzzi. All rooms have air conditioning, CD players, refrigerators, and even binoculars—but no TVs or telephone. Guests enjoy a large salt-water swimming pool and birdwatchers in particular delight in the estuary, which is a natural sanctuary.
