Karen's Review Of This Property:

Brothers Alessio and Nicola natives of the island of Murano, brought home their worldly experience in tourism and have created a very unique hotel. With all the comforts and amenities of a grand hotel but with the intimacy and care of a private home, the hosts welcome sophisticated travelers who are searching for something beyond the usual choice. In the four-story completely renovated historic home on a side canal facing the imposing church of Santa Maria della Salute, five deluxe theme rooms (king beds) were created using classic Venetian elements as the base (damask fabrics, Murano chandeliers, speckled marble floors) but with a contemporary mood. The general colors applied are somber beige, browns, black and grays, but with certain surprises as the Doges corner room, done completely in red with gold accents. Individual designer bathrooms have been created for each room with one having its own terrace. A second terrace for general use is appointed in Moroccan style with tables for an outdoor breakfast and lounges piled with colorful cushions. All rooms feature complimentary wireless Internet, CD/DVD players with DVD library, and free soft drinks in the minibar. Breakfast is served in the beamed dining room with chandelier and big arched windows overlooking the private landing dock. Straight across from San Marco, the area near the Guggenheim museum has galleries, good restaurants and, especially, peace and quiet.
