Karen's Review Of This Property:
The Villa Ca’Sette is a refreshingly stylish accommodation with a friendly staff, set in a typical 18th-century Veneto villa, once a private summer home to nobility. Well known since the ’50s for its excellent Michelin-star restaurant, it was completely refurbished as a hotel in 2001. Cleverly combining modern design with antique touches, guestrooms are divided among the main villa and the adjacent “barchessa.” Upstairs in the more classic villa with frescoes and antiques is the sitting area off which is two double bedrooms and a grand suite, and can be rented as a separate apartment. Besides a convenient two-level family suite, there are another 14 clean and contemporary-style beamed bedrooms, which harmonize well with natural materials such as wood and stone. The sleek bathrooms with rain showers are created in varying shades of marble and travertine. The light and airy, elegant restaurant on the ground floor, with large windows looking over the garden, serves produce of the season and local meats and fish, each dish presented as a work of art. At the foot of the Dolomites, the charming ancient town of Bassano is an hour from Venice, and near Asolo, Marostica, Padova, Vicenza, and Verona.
