Karen's Review Of This Property:
A truly classic hotel with old-world charm, the 120-year-old Brufani Palace was once two hotels sitting back to back in the main piazza of Perugia’s historic center. Joined together like Siamese twins, the hotel has been recently restored to its original splendor with, of course, double of everything, including many spacious sitting rooms, two bars, a restaurant, and enormous formal breakfast room. Unlike many newly restored accommodation, obvious effort has been made to retain its old-fashioned flavor while updating amenities and maintaining a five-star level. Carpeted bedrooms are spacious and elegantly appointed with antiques, gilded mirrors, and marble bathrooms, most with lovely views over historic Perugia or the Umbrian countryside. Guests can choose from standard doubles, suites and junior suites with high ceilings, or cozy beamed mansard rooms. All guests can enjoy the full 360-degree views from the highest point in the city, the Brufani’s rooftop terrace. Another unique feature of this hotel is the swimming pool down in the original cantinas with brick vaulted ceilings. Etruscan relics were found while digging and now the glass-bottom pool proudly displays this discovery! The hotel also has a gym and sauna. Step out of the hotel and you are right on the main street of charming Perugia.
