Karen's Review Of This Property:

Leaving behind the road from Perugia with its developing industries, a country gravel road takes you up to the splendid 17th-century Villa di Montesolare overlooking in all directions its hilly estate of olive groves and vineyards. A wide, gray-stone staircase leads up to an elegant salon with marble fireplace and crystal chandelier off which are eight lovely guestrooms and two suites on two floors. They are individually appointed with authentic period antiques, which harmonize perfectly with the original features of the villa left intact. Seven newer suites and nine bedrooms are located within two 350-year-old farmhouses just down the road, offering magnificent views and utter tranquility. A separate breakfast room is inside one of these two houses. Back at the main house, guests enjoy a drink at the bar before dinner served in one of the two intimate, frescoed dining rooms where varied Umbrian cuisine is presented along with a selection of 350 Umbrian wines. Summer concerts are held in a chapel in the formal Italian garden. Enjoy activities such as swimming in one of two hillside pools, tennis, theme menus, and the on site spa and beauty farm. Gracious and warm hosts Filippo and Rosemarie do an absolutely superb job of making guests feel totally pampered at their romantic retreat.
