Karen's Review Of This Property:

The romantic, ochre-colored, 17th-century Villa Poggiano is truly a gem. The Savini family bought the abandoned mansion, which nestles on a wooded hillside near the charming walled city of Montepulciano, and have tenderly restored it to its original splendor. An intimate, cozy parlor with comfortable chairs grouped around an open fireplace, a sweet breakfast room, and two enormous suites are on the first floor. A wide staircase leads to four more beautiful rooms. There are also three delightful suites in a separate brick building facing a sweeping panorama of the countryside. The tasteful decor creates a warm, homelike ambiance. Throughout the villa, everything is on a grand scale with handsome fireplaces, sumptuous bathrooms, gorgeous antique furniture, exceptionally spacious rooms, and ornate chandeliers. The villa faces an idyllic Tuscan countryside with olive trees dotting the gentle hillside. Behind the villa is a thick forest with romantic paths meandering through the woodlands. There is also an enormous travertine swimming pool with a granite wall on one side embellished with a large sculpture, while on the other side, lounge chairs are set on a wide terrace outlined by very old cypress trees. The warmth of welcome by Stefania and her charming mother is so genuine you will never want to leave.
