Karen's Review Of This Property:
La Dionora is a delightful hotel just outside the walled town of Montepulciano, one of Tuscany’s jewels. This appealing small inn, made of tan stone and accented by brown shutters, has a stunning location, crowning a gentle hill with a 360-degree view. As far as the eye can see there are rolling hills covered with forests, fields of sunflowers, olive groves, and, in the distance, the sweet walled village of Pienza. As you approach, it is obvious that this is a well cared for, beautifully managed property. Everything is absolutely meticulous, from the perfectly tended flower beds to the lovingly decorated bedrooms. Three of the guestrooms are located upstairs in the farmhouse with windows that capture the splendid view. The other rooms, each with a private terrace, are in a similar one-story stone building just steps away. All have Tuscan-style antiques enhanced by Ferragamo fabrics and fireplaces. Breakfast is served in the garden in a most attractive stone “winter garden” with arched glass walls on four sides through which the sunlight streams in. Also in the garden is a beautiful swimming pool. Dinner is served by request during the summer season. Maria Teresa Cesarini, the friendly owner, is ably assisted by Giulio D’Antonio and they are perfect hosts who are very familiar with Tuscany and can help with planning your day.
