Karen's Review Of This Property:
This is one of the most scenic areas of the Dolomites and Sesto is one of the most attractive of the mountain towns. Just beyond town you find the delightful Berghotel Tirol, a lovely hotel built in typical Dolomite chalet style. Inside, the tasteful decor continues the delightful Alpine style, with one lovely room with beams and light-pine furniture leading to another. However, the special features of the Berghotel Tirol are its marvelous location on the hillside looking over this lovely valley with towering mountains as a backdrop and the warmth of welcome from Kurt Holzer, his wife Resi, and their son Walter. Many of the rooms have large balconies, which capture the view and the warmth of the mountain sun. The adjacent “residence” has lovely apartments (for two to four persons) with tiny kitchens, which can be rented for weekly stays or on a half-board basis. A network of trails in every direction tempts everyone into the crisp mountain air. When you return at night to the hotel, it is rather like a house party: table-hopping is prevalent as guests share their day’s adventures. Below the hotel are a fitness center with sauna, panoramic swimming pool, whirlpool, and massage rooms, a children’s room with billiards and football, and a large parking garage.
