Villa Carlotta
A Karen Brown Recommended Hotel / Inn
Owners: Rosaria & Andrea Quartucci |

Karen's Review Of This Property:
With the success of their hotel Villa Ducale, Rosaria and Andrea Quartucci did not hesitate to open a second accommodation right in the center of town. The 1920s castle-like stone villa overlooking the sea, underwent an ambitious restoration in 2007. Passionate travelers themselves, Andrea and Rosaria, with a flair for decorating and details, compiled a list of their own personal preferences and transferred their ideas into reality at Villa Carlotta. The main reception area leads down a hall to the first set of rooms, all with terraces and sea views, many amenities, and a soft contemporary style enhanced by the warm color schemes selected for each individual room. On the opposite side of the hall is a large tavern with evidence of the stone Byzantine catacombs recently discovered, while a rear door offers access to the surrounding gardens and swimming pool. Perched on the top floor is the veranda rooftop breakfast room with spectacular views and the same super buffet breakfast as the Villa Ducale, unanimously proclaimed the best in town. Besides the many interesting sights in Taormina (10 min walk), suggested by the personable staff, a shuttle is available to the private beach.
