Karen's Review Of This Property:

Since 1902, the Gallinotto family has presided over the Cannero Lakeside Hotel just south of the Swiss border. With Maria Carla Gallinotto’s presence, and her five children (Felice, Samuele, Annalisa, Alfredo, and Giuliana) working alongside her, you can be certain that you will meet caring family members during your stay. This little lakeside resort is composed of two main historical buildings, one a former monastery and the other a house of the “Baron di Sant’Agabio.” Ferries that visit all the delightful resorts and islands of Lake Maggiore leave from the dock in front of the hotel. However, do not confine your explorations to the lake, for the valleys and mountains to the west offer spectacular scenery. On the other hand, the hotel is so delightful that you may wish to limit your excursions to the pool and strolls along the lakeside pedestrian promenade. Suites are decorated in the Lombardy style with breathtaking views. Lake-facing bedrooms are found on four floors—all are charming. Additional guestrooms look out to the swimming pool, as do ten self-catering apartments that can accommodate from two to four persons. Dinner is served in the lovely lakefront restaurant.
