Karen's Review Of This Property:
The Luz family bought and restored this lovely turn-of-the-last-century villa across from the lake more than 30 years ago. It retains its Liberty-style decor (1890s) throughout the several sitting and dining rooms with high, frescoed ceilings, stained-glass and lead windows, and ornate chandeliers. The reception area has an old-fashioned wooden bar with leather stools, velvet sofas and armchairs, Oriental carpets, and an enormous stone fireplace. Bedrooms upstairs vary in size (single, double, or suite) and are in keeping with the general decor of the accommodation. Many amenities are offered such as air conditioning and hydro jet baths in suites. A garden surrounds the villa where in the summer months tables and umbrellas are set up for dinner or buffet breakfast. Gracious Signora Renate runs the show, assisting her guests with various itineraries around the lake area. Guests have access as well to the Luz family’s other lakefront hotel, with its alternative restaurant, park, and swimming. This place exudes old-world charm.
