Karen's Review Of This Property:

Divine, exquisite, blissful are some of the words that come immediately to mind in describing the Hotel Caruso, reopened in 2005 after a much talked about multi-million dollar renovation project. No detail disappoints even the most discerning of travelers. It joins an elite club of top hotels in the world. An historic hotel offering accommodation since 1893, the perched position with its mesmerizing sea and mountain views has captured the attention of the many illustrious guests. The variety of double rooms and suites (all with balconies, terraces or private gardens) have tiled floors and are appointed in soft cream colors which do not distract the eye from the main attraction: the clear blue sea below. While some pieces are original antiques, the rest have been made exclusively for the hotel in traditional Neapolitan style. The elegant 18th-century frescoed salon with fireplace and vaulted ceiling leads to a long arcade bar where piano music is played nightly. Traditional meals are served in the Caruso restaurant. However, when the weather permits, preferred seating is outdoors in the enchanting garden at the Belvedere. The pièce de résistance is without a doubt the infinity swimming pool lined with white columns, precariously hanging cliff side. Ravello is a dream of a location and the Caruso fits right into that dream. As an added bonus. the hotel offers boat excursions of the Amalfi coast.
