Karen's Review Of This Property:

The Park Hotel has come a long way since it began life in 1897 as the Great Southern Hotel Kenmare to provide a convenient overnight stop for railway travelers en route to or from the Ring of Kerry. Guests are greeted by a blazing coal fire, which casts its glow towards the cozy bar and lounge, and you sit down at a partners’ desk to register before being shown to your room. Such touches give a small-hotel feeling to this larger establishment. Exquisite accommodations are provided in nine very luxurious suites with splendid views out over Kenmare Bay. Just as lovely are the superior bedrooms in the old house, many of which have bedrooms and an arch to the seating area—these also all have wonderful views of the bay. Rooms in the “newer” wing have balconies or patios to capture sideways bay views. The restaurant produces some of the finest food that you will find in Ireland. The Park provides programs for the Christmas and New Year holidays. Pamper yourself at the adjacent Sámas spa where you choose from over 40 holistic treatments. Use of the Thermal Suite (sauna, steam, aromatherapy mist and vitality pool with body, foot, and neck massage) is scheduled before your treatment and afterwards you relax on a day bed overlooking the woodlands. The spa has two couples private day suites. Beside the hotel is an 18-hole golf course.
