Karen's Review Of This Property:
“What a great place to have a party!” I exclaimed—and the thought had not escaped former owners, for there are tales in the town of grand parties long ago with guests dancing in the expansive drawing and dining rooms and a quartet in the back hallway. These aristocratic rooms have been restored to their former glory, with a wedding-cake icing of plasterwork ringing their lofty ceilings above sink-in sofas and chairs and a vast dining-room table. Upstairs has received the same sensitive treatment. The two premier rooms at the front of the house have vast bathrooms with large tubs and separate showers and enough room in the bedrooms to accommodate seating by the fire and a couple of beds. Between them stands an extra bedroom (without bath), ideal for an older child or traveling companion. The fourth bedroom overlooks the courtyard. For dinner guests usually drive to local restaurants. With advance notice Laura will prepare supper. Michael and Laura find that many guests are interested in their restoration and often give a tour of “behind the scenes” portions of the property.
