Karen's Review Of This Property:

We visited Gorman’s at the insistence of Peter Haden, of Gregans Castle. We completely agree with everything he stated in his email to us: "…(This property) has a spectacular location out on the remotest part of the Dingle Peninsula overlooking Smerwick Harbour and out to the Atlantic—wild, savage scenery surrounds. The building is quite new and certainly not quaint, but the moment you step inside, there is a wonderful feeling of warmth generated by the most genuine greeting, open fires, sunny color schemes, and very comfortable furnishings. The tea and homemade biscuits make you immediately relax and feel at home. There are nine large, well-furnished bedrooms, all with fabulous views and good bathrooms with buckets of hot water and all the little extras. The dining room is designed to take advantage of the views, and we had dinner watching the sun set on the Atlantic horizon. Food is fine without being famous, and service is very friendly. Rarely before have I stayed in a place where I had such a good feeling of genuine friendliness and warmth from the owners, who are dedicated to providing the best for everyone. What more can I say?" Only that the food is excellent.

Directions: Go through Dingle town keeping the harbor on your left. At the roundabout west of town, go straight (signpost An Fheothanach)—Gorman’s is 13 km on. After about 8 km the road forks: stay left and you come back to the coast—the sea is on your right and Gorman’s is on your left.
