Karen's Review Of This Property:
There are many restaurants on Germany’s lovely Isle of Sylt and among the finest is the well-known Restaurant Jörg Müller. The restaurant, which has earned a coveted Michelin star, also offers—luckily for the gourmet traveler—pretty guestrooms for overnight guests. In keeping with the fairy-tale quality of most of the houses on the island, the Restaurant Jörg Müller is brimming with charm. The appealing, red-brick house with thick thatched roof is made even lovelier by a lacing of climbing roses. A small lawn and garden in front complete the attractive picture. Inside, there is a sitting area for guests waiting for dinner. On the left are two subdued, pastel-colored dining rooms where French cuisine is served. To the right of the reception is the most enchanting dining room, decorated entirely in white, blue, and light-toned woods. The walls are covered in white tiles whose blandness is relieved by interspersing tiles with blue designs, which seem Dutch in origin. The ceiling is paneled in a light wood, and the chairs and floor are also of light wood. In this extraordinarily fresh and pretty room, regional specialties are served. Jörg Müller, the owner, is also the chef and dining at his restaurant is a memorable occasion. For a memorable experience, sign up for one of the cooking courses he offers his hotel guests.
