Karen's Review Of This Property:

In our estimation, the Hotel Bülow Residenz, a small luxury hotel, is the finest in Dresden. Found on a quiet side street of old houses, the hotel is in the Neustadt just across the river from the heart of town. This baroque building with its façade dating back to 1730 has been restored, keeping the elegant exterior and adding a traditional-modern interior. At the heart of the hotel is a vine-covered courtyard set with tables and chairs for enjoying breakfast or afternoon coffee outdoors. While we enjoyed casual fare in the Italian restaurant across the street, the hotel has a formal restaurant serving more elegant food in hushed surroundings. The barrel-vaulted wine cellars are now a cozy piano bar. Found on four floors, the spacious bedrooms are each accompanied by a luxurious bath- or shower-room. A two-minute walk brings you to the golden statue of August the Strong sitting atop his horse gazing across the Augustusbrücke, which spans the Elbe to the historic heart of Dresden. Here you find the Zwinger (museums), a monumental palace that August the Strong used as a background for sumptuous festivals and housing his vast art collection.

Directions: To find the hotel locate the Albertplatz in the Neustadt (a circular traffic island with roads spoking out) and take Königstrasse, then turn left on Obergraben to Rähnitzgasse. The hotel is located across the river from the city center.
