Karen's Review Of This Property:
On a cobblestone street overlooking the Ziegelsee, you’ll find the Hotel Niederländischer Hof, a charming boutique-style hotel that was founded in 1901. It was named in honor of the marriage of a local Duke to a Dutch Queen. As you walk in, you’ll see the stylish restaurant on the left and the comfortably decorated lobby with its small reception desk towards the right. The elegant lobby has several sitting areas, but the library, with its fireplace and wall of books is the loveliest of all. The guestrooms are all newly renovated and decorated in the English style with wooden desks and wonderful four-poster beds. The yellow-toned walls and sumptuous fabrics used in the furniture and draperies add a richness to the room. The marble bathrooms were luxurious, too. Room 302 has a high ceiling with exposed wooden beams and plenty of windows that offer light and a view of the lake. Breakfast is served in the “Wintergarden” in the back and both lunch and dinner are served in the first floor restaurant. The old town of Schwerin and its castle are walking distance away
