Karen's Review Of This Property:
A former royal guesthouse, the Landhotel de Weimar sits on a wide cobblestone street and is just steps away from the baroque castle of Ludwigslust. A visit here has a festive and romantic flair to it, and the warm welcome from the traditionally dressed employees of the hotel definitely add to the feeling. The rooms all have windows that overlook the main street or gardens. All the rooms are spacious and elegantly decorated in the traditional style with furniture in the Biedermeier and classical lines. Rich fabrics in jewel tones adorn the walls and cover the beds. If you are lucky enough to reserve a room during one of the many festivals held here, you can enjoy fireworks and classical music on the castle grounds, and one of the special menus created at the hotel for these occasions. A glass-topped atrium within the building is where the Restaurant Ambiente plays center stage and delights visitors with its fine lunch and dinner menus, offering a creative twist on regional delicacies. The town of Ludwigslust offers a relaxed and friendly atmosphere for sightseeing and access to a wonderfully grand castle grounds and parks. The hotel is very affordable considering the quality offered.
