In a storybook setting in the heart of Lower Saxony, you arrive at a wooded circle and find this half-timbered thatched building, where the Köllner family has been living since 1655. The Romantik Hotel & Restaurant Köllner´s Landhaus was formerly the family’s farmhouse and was lovingly renovated in 2000. It now offers a top restaurant and six guestrooms. The rooms are impecably decorated in contemporary furniture with all the modern comforts. Warm tones of blue and yellow combined with floral accents make the rooms appealing to a variety of tastes. Room 104 is a bit larger than the rest, and looks over the idyllic garden, pond, and horses grazing in the background. Mr. Koellner oversees the restaurant and, as sommelier, its extensive wine list and their own Vinothek. His exquisite meals are served in the large bright and airy restaurant, which is divided into cozy smaller dining areas, or on the expansive terrace overlooking the garden. Köllner´s Landhaus is a relaxing stop along the way and can be enjoyed as a romantic getaway, a family vacation or as a fine dining experience alone. The River Aller and surrounding park can be visited by canoe or bicycle which can be rented at the hotel.
