Karen's Review Of This Property:
The Hessischerhof Hotel, which dates back to 1952, offers the ultimate in luxury. The hotel is still family-owned and it’s obvious from the perfection of every detail that they take great personal pride in its management. The staff is excellent and remarkably friendly. With 150 employees for only 117 rooms, it is no wonder each guest feels pampered. The Hessischer Hof’s location is excellent: it is across from the exhibition halls, yet only about a 15-minute walk to the pedestrian section of the Old City. Although a luxurious, sophisticated hotel, the tasteful, refined ambiance throughout exudes the warmth and charm of a private home with bouquets of fresh flowers and splendid family antiques. The individually decorated guestrooms are divided into two wings. Those in the north wing are furnished with family heirlooms and have more of an Old World ambiance. One of the most delightful rooms at the hotel is its dining room with an incredible set of Sèvres porcelain dinnerware, a wedding gift from Napoleon to the Princess of Hesse (an ancestor of the owners) romantically displayed in a softly illuminated cupboard. Another celebrated spot in the hotel is Jimmy’s Bar, the most famous place to have a drink in Frankfurt. André Amador has catered to guests and celebrities for over 25 years.
