Karen's Review Of This Property:
At the base of Falkenstein Mountain, at the edge of a forest, the Berghotel Schlossanger Alp is nestled in a high Alpine meadow. Muck and Toni Schlachter (who have been offering a traditional Bavarian welcome for over 30 years) have been joined here by daughter, Barbara, and her husband, Bernhard Ebert. Together they made great improvements, adding 16 suites in addition to an incredible indoor fitness center complete with pool, saunas, and massage rooms. Guestrooms are as fresh and pretty as can be, with pine furniture, lovely fabrics that color-coordinate with wallpaper trim, and beautiful large bathrooms and kitchenettes. Every detail exudes quality. Rooms are individual in theme and I especially liked the Burgblick Suite, which enjoys wonderful views and a very cozy ambiance. The dining room and lounges display an old-fashioned, lived-in comfort. Barbara and Bernhard welcome families wholeheartedly and many of the suites have an extra bedroom for children. You will be captivated by the glorious setting at the edge of the pines overlooking the rolling green meadow and distant mountain peaks. The setting is superb, but it is the genuine warmth of hospitality that will win your heart.
