Karen's Review Of This Property:

A hallway full of family antiques leads to a reception desk brightened by a bouquet of fresh flowers at the charming 2 star Gasthof Zur Rose, well located on a quiet street one block from the central square. Formerly a farmer’s stable, the gasthof is almost 200 years old and has been in the Stückl family for many years—Renata is the third generation of her family to welcome guests here and is assisted by her husband, Ludwig, and her parents, Roswitha and Peter. All the family members are experts on local sights and history. Artistic touches are found throughout the Zur Rose, from colorful dried-flower arrangements and strategically placed paintings to pleasing combinations of fabrics. The two dining rooms are bright and cheerful, filled with pretty fabrics, rustic furniture, and green plants, and offer many Bavarian specialties. Some of the simple guestrooms have antique accent pieces. All the bedrooms have small shower cabinets. For longer rentals, the Stückl family offers three Bavarian houses with apartments for up to six persons. For warmth of welcome and super-caring hosts, the Gasthof Zur Rose is a real winner.
