Karen's Review Of This Property:

The Torbräu, Munich’s oldest hostelry, has been offering a warm welcome to guests since 1490. Its location is excellent: a short walk down the Tal from Marienplatz, in the heart of Munich at the historic Isartor (one of Munich’s original main tower gates). The Kirchlechner family, owners for over one hundred years, are dedicated to ongoing improvements. Rooms range in size from snug singles, through spacious doubles, to two-room suites. I was charmed by room 501, a lovely corner deluxe room with a cozy sitting area that enjoys the morning sun. A new wing of rooms, located in what was once the servants’ quarters, is banded by quiet side streets. The most expensive double rooms and suites have complimentary drinks and tea- and coffee-making facilities. All the rooms have modern bathrooms and air conditioning. Breakfast is served each morning in an especially attractive dining room with a balcony overlooking the street. At 11 am this room converts to a tea room, where a stunning selection of scrumptious pastries, fresh from the hotel’s own bakery, is served. In summer the hotel’s Italian restaurant, La Familia, overflows to outside seating. The cellar bar, La Cantinetta, is cozy and offers late-night snacks for those not yet on Germany time.

TO: Karen Brown & Staff RE: Bavarian Itinerary/Germany Kudos to you all! Once again, my wife and I enjoyed a memorable visit to Europe based on your precise and "on-target" suggestions. The Torbrau in Munich (a city we loved) was noteworthy for its decor, the location and service. ....
