Karen's Review Of This Property:
This dear, family-run hotel has guestrooms that enjoy unobstructed views of the mountains. From your bed in one of the mountain-view rooms you will have a perfect view of green meadows stretching up the hillside to the soaring, granite peaks of the Zugspitze. The 300-year-old Hotel Post is very simple—not for those expecting luxury or quaint accommodation. The guestrooms are basic, fresh, and clean and the beds made with crisp cotton sheets. The most dramatic view rooms are 1, 2, and 3, while rooms 18, 19, 20, and 21 have views plus the bonus of balconies. Full of history and charm, the breakfast rooms, with beamed ceilings, provincial-print tie-back curtains, attractive wooden chairs, tables set with linen cloths, and oil paintings and copper pots adorning fresh, whitewashed walls, are charming and one is set in what was the town’s original post office. The exceptionally gracious Seufferth family has been running the Post since 1890 and now the charming young Ander, is delightfully in place. Ilse’s natural talent for making guests feel very welcome has quite obviously been passed on to her son! The hotel also has ten simply furnished apartments that rent on a weekly basis. This non-smoking hotel is bike friendly and offers tours of the area in the summer.
