Karen's Review Of This Property:

From the moment you step through the front door of the Spielweg Romantik Hotel, you are surrounded by the warmth of a wonderful old farmhouse, lovingly converted into a small luxury hotel. To the left of the reception is a comfortable sitting area with chairs set around small tables for afternoon tea. To the right of the lobby is a series of dining rooms, each a masterpiece of country-cozy with antique paneling covering the walls and low ceilings, ceramic plates and pictures, hunting trophies, tiled stove, and pretty hanging lamps. All the dining rooms look like settings for Gourmet magazine. As the hotel has grown, the bedrooms have expanded from the original home to two additional wings. The rooms in the older part are smaller and more old-fashioned in decor, but very good value for the money. The rooms in the newer wings are larger, have more modern furnishings, and are more costly. For those traveling with children, there is an enormous playroom for your little ones with all kinds of toys to keep them happy on a rainy day. Connected to the hotel by an underground passage is an indoor swimming pool and just beyond, in the garden, you’ll find an outdoor pool. At the end of the valley, with a backdrop of the lush Black Forest, the Spielweg is a wonderful base from which to hike and explore the region.

Romantik Hotel Guide's Description:

The lovely Romantik Hotel Spielweg nestles in the midst of delightful meadows in the Münster Valley and has been run by the Fuchs family for generations. The historic building charms its guests with cosy restaurants and attractive guest rooms. Karl-Josef Fuchs prepares light and creative dishes with fresh, seasonal produce from the region. Of particular interest is the Spielweg cheese dairy where Bergkäse, Obermünstertäler and Molkenziger cheeses are made.
