Karen's Review Of This Property:
The Auberge du Bois Prin, nestled above world-famous Chamonix, has a breathtaking setting—looking across the valley, face-to-face with Mont Blanc. A flower-banked lane leads up to the hotel, which looks like a private home—which actually it almost was. The owner’s father was planning to live here, but friends told him the view was too precious not to share, so, instead, he opened a small hotel. Built of dark wood in the local chalet style, it is picture-perfect, with beautifully tended displays of colorful flowers and geraniums cascading from window boxes and adorning all the decks. There is a most intimate charm throughout the hotel and it is truly like being a guest in a private home. In the reception area there is no formal counter, just a discreet antique desk that is used for check-in, and in one corner a cozy nook with a fireplace and a few comfortable chairs. A large deck stretches in front of the hotel where guests dine in the sunshine with the majesty of the mountains seemingly at their fingertips. All the individually decorated bedrooms capture the view of Mont Blanc. All have either a private terrace enclosed by shrubbery or balcony. The Auberge du Bois Prin is proud of its sauna and spa as well as its reputation for quality service.
