Karen's Review Of This Property:

Owners the Stein Group entirely redecorated Prince William of Sweden’s former château, making this magnificent residence and hotel even finer. The Château Eza is located in the medieval village of Èze, perched 400 meters above the coastline of the Riviera. The hotel’s bedrooms are found in a cluster of buildings that front onto Èze’s narrow, winding, cobblestoned streets. Most have a private entry and blend in beautifully as part of the village scene. Although limited in comfort and light because of the old medieval walls, accommodation is extremely luxurious. Each room enjoys spectacular views and most have wood-burning fireplaces and private terraces, with views extending out over the rooftops of the village. The Château Eza has a renowned restaurant with views and service to equal the excellent cuisine. A multi-level lounge-bar with hanging garden terraces is a delightful and informal spot for afternoon tea or a light meal. The Château Eza is a wonderful final splurge before leaving France—the airport at Nice is just 20 minutes away. As Èze is closed to cars, look for the reception at the base of the village: the two donkeys, les bagagistes, stabled out front.
