Karen's Review Of This Property:
Nestled in the countryside not far from the Normandy coast is a beautiful hotel in a 20-hectare park that incredibly is of new construction and not converted from an ancient Norman farm as its character, beauty, and ambiance suggest. This lovely timbered farmstead is built round and opens onto a central courtyard. The reception shares the front wing with an intimate, cozy bar/salon on one side and a charming restaurant on the other. Rich warm colors have been chosen for the fabrics and dramatically hung on the timbered walls are paintings of actresses who have captured the world’s heart (the owner is film director Claude Lelouch). Guestrooms run along either side of the courtyard: standard rooms are found on the first floor of one wing, junior suites are found on the second floor, and two-tiered triplex suites are mirrored on the other side. Standard rooms are lovely, spacious, and enjoy outdoor terraces and all the modern comforts. The Pavilion, a charming little house located just at the entrance to the hotel, enjoys its own kitchenette, enclosed patio, fireplace, sitting room, and two bedrooms—an incredible value.
