Karen's Review Of This Property:

The Château de Noirieux is exceptional. A beautiful wooded property set in the hills above Angers in the Loire Valley, it has gardens abounding with flowers, a lovely pool, tennis courts, and gorgeous river views. A charming couple, the Cômes, oversees the welcome and the exceptional kitchen. Upstairs in the château are the largest and most expensive rooms with elegant decor and views of the river. Number 1 is a corner room decorated in cascades of blue-and-cream fabric; the middle room, number 2 is decorated in a fabric of ribbons and roses in soft tones of blues and pinks; and number 3 is the smallest room but with a larger bathroom. Also in the château there are six rooms overlooking the inner courtyard, which are also lovely in decor but smaller and more moderate in price. Another ten rooms are located in the neighboring manor, all attractive and spacious. A bowl of nuts (noirieux), a basket of fruit, fresh flowers, and personalized toiletries welcome guests in each room. The ambiance in the restaurant, with its linens and drapes in soft hues of yellow, is very romantic. A pretty breakfast room, enclosed with full glass windows, is set just off the terrace.
