Karen's Review Of This Property:
Those who know me, know I love to boast a truly new discovery! Aragon is a relatively undiscovered, medieval village that I’m certain will eventually be recognized as one of France’s most beautiful. At the top of the cobbled streets is a delightful inn that opened just two months prior to our visit. The pastel-washed, newly constructed building with wrought-iron gates compliments the regional hillside village. The décor inside is Mediterranean with cheerful colors of yellows, blues, oranges, and greens. Terracotta tiles pattern the floors. The building steps down the hillside at the back, so the entry is actually on the top level, accessed from the parking area. Inside the entrance, one steps down into a cheerful dining room exposed on all sides by windows framing the surrounding hillsides. Also accessed from the parking area, with separate entrances, are two guestrooms. The remaining six are located on the lower level, accessed by an interior, central stairway. All the guestrooms are named for plants and flowers of the region and are reflected in the interiors with special touches, such as artwork matching the room’s title (i.e., Poppy, Sunflower, Iris) and hand-painted headboards (by an aunt). This is a family affair. Mme. Galibert proudly showed us around. Her son is the chef. He lives here with his wife and their baby.
