Karen's Review Of This Property:

Chateau Les Crayères has long been considered one of the finest hotels and restaurants. Set on the edge of the city, this elegant building was originally the town home for Mme Pommery and, like Monet at Giverny, she created the surrounding 7 hectares of park to buffer her from the city. Behind private gates off a main road in Reims, a circular drive delivers you to the entry of this elegant, gorgeous, and refined hotel. Off the entry and reception a sweeping staircase climbs to the bedrooms, which even in the “standard” category can only be described as luxurious—a haven unto themselves. We were able to see a suite, an absolutely gorgeous back corner room with furniture set on old parquet floors and windows dressed in fabrics of blues and yellows framing the serenity of the back garden. Fresh flowers, a basket of fruit, and champagne awaited the fortunate guests. A standard room, number 18, in a beautiful decor of reds and creams, was delightfully intimate. Downstairs, public rooms are numerous and beautifully appointed and service is discreet but attentive. Under the brilliant direction of Chef Didier Elena, there are several dining rooms in which guests can experience his talents. Outdoors, set under the canopy of individual umbrellas, tables overflow onto the terrace. This is an exceptional property.
