Wishing to offer our readers a property within walking distance of the valley’s most beautiful châteaux, Chenonceaux, I recommended this hotel previously and now underscore it for the new generation of the Jeudi family. Guestrooms vary in size and price, with locations in wings and annexes of this old posting inn. The best values are the less expensive rooms. While the larger, recently remodeled “suites” are very comfortable, they are as costly as more luxurious properties with more ambiance. However, it is the convenience of the location, the assurance of a comfortable bed, and the excellent restaurant that are the main reasons to stay here. Mme. greets you at the reception with a warm, gracious welcome and is a perfect example of quality service. Monsieur is responsible for the excellent menu. Dining here is a memorable experience, either in the intimate room in a décor of soft-green and floral prints or in the larger, soft yellow dining room. A number of charming salons are available to guests in the main house. The numerous guestrooms are staggered throughout the five buildings; one building for each of the generations of family that have taken on the role of innkeepers. There are pretty courtyard gardens and as expanse of back garden that is very restful.
