Karen's Review Of This Property:
Set in the quiet Loire Valley countryside, Le Fleuray is a lovely soft-peach manor, covered in Virginia Creeper with window boxes hanging heavy with geraniums. Large, well-kept gardens have lawns, a pond and an orchard. Dating from the 1800’s, its English owners, Peter and Hazel, converted it into a charming country hotel and now run it in style with their son and daughter, Jordan and Cassie. The decor is pretty with floral and stripes both in the fabrics and wallpapers. White wicker and country-house-style furnishings complement the exterior color of the building. The attractive bedrooms and suites are named after local flowers with views across the gardens. Guestrooms with terraces overlooking the heated swimming pool, which are located in converted barns, are a wonderful option for families. The Newingtons offer a lovely breakfast and dinner, under the shade of trees on the garden terrace and in the gorgeous new verandah-style restaurant. Both à la carte and fixed priced menus are offered while the wine list keeps faithfully to the Loire vineyards. Le Fleuray is an ideal base from which to explore the area’s many castles, villages, and vineyards-all short and easy drives along quiet back roads.
