Karen's Review Of This Property:

Located in the beautiful region of the Maçonnaise, the Château d’Igé is superlative in every respect, as evidenced by 90% of the guests returning to its high level of accommodation, cuisine, service, setting and welcome. Once home to the Counts of Mâcon, this intimate salmon-hued château dates back to the 13th century. It was converted over three decades ago to a hotel and restaurant. Françoise continues the tradition and high standards set before her adding her own warmth and caring. The guestrooms are found off the hallways that extend off the stone-turreted stairs or the side wings and entrances. All are lovely in décor and extremely comfortable in appointments. The most very private and regal accommodation is found in the Tour du Parc. Dining is a memorable experience with an exceptional menu whether you settle in one of the regal dining rooms, whose tables are set on old stone floors against the fortified walls under heavy old beams warmed by a large open fireplace, or at tables set on the terrace bathed in the soft glow of the evening lights on a warm evening. The grounds that embrace the château are magical with an incredible abundance of flowers distinguishing pathways that lead to a multitude of romantic garden niches and escapes.
