Karen's Review Of This Property:
Isabelle and Vincent purchased La Roseraie, wanting to settle with their children, work in their own home, and start a business with a goal to offer reasonably priced, comfortable accommodation in one of the Dordogne’s prime destinations, the village of Montignac, famous for Lascaux II. Distanced from the river by an expanse of beautiful rose gardens and pool, this is a lovely stone building. A gracious and attractive couple, the Nourrissons impart a high standard of service, cuisine, and comfort along with their experience and professionalism. On the entry level is a reception area, a small sitting area, a breakfast room, and the impressive restaurant. On most summer nights, tables are set under the stars. Climb the stairway to the two floors of guestrooms, each named after a different species of rose. Throughout, the furnishings are simple and comfortable, with pretty fabrics and colors for the décor. There is a full range of room sizes, and the largest rooms are equipped with multiple beds to accommodate families. The most incredible unit is located in a 13th century building across the square with two stories of open space, exposed beams, brick and stone walls. As with the larger rooms in the inn, in high season, this is reserved for larger parties. Off season, when available to couples, it is like having your own pied à terre in Montignac.
