Karen's Review Of This Property:

La Ferme Lamy, a sprawling farm complex on the outskirts of Sarlat, was renovated and converted to a wonderful 12-room hotel. Park to the side of the inn and walk past the pool fronted by roses, whose water seems to cascade over the edge, to the entry of the hotel. To one side of the entry is a very attractive salon with chairs set in front of a large, open fireplace and intimate tables set for breakfast. On the other side, a door opens to the gorgeous country kitchen, where the scent of baking breads draws many a guest to the heart of the home. Upstairs, our room 11, as well as room 12, were very spacious under an A-frame pitched roof with exposed beams. The decor in our room was quite pretty with country prints, a beautiful old armoire, and a handsome antique table in addition to a table set with two chairs by the window. I also liked rooms 9 and 10, in a separate building, both air-conditioned and lovely with their country decor and old beams. Five smaller rooms are equipped with loft beds and open onto a terrace with tables set just outside their doors. Under new ownership, I look forward to meeting the Duneau family on my next trip and welcome feedback from our readers.
