Karen's Review Of This Property:
This lovely complex of salmon-wash buildings with tile roofs, nestled on a lawn and embraced by lovely, landscaped gardens, has long earned praise for its restaurant. As the name implies, Frères (French for brothers), share the kitchen. The main building houses a number of intimate, beautiful dining areas. Off the reception is a charming room referred to as the Verandah, another is called the Chapelle, and the largest, with windows on all sides, is named the Rotunda. On a beautiful day, guests have a choice of tables set under the shade of trees on the back patio that steps down to the garden. A tranquil setting, refined personal service, the excellent menu are major attributes and the gracious warmth of the family behind it. Expanded by marriage, the team now includes sister-in-laws, who graciously share the task of welcoming guests. In a building below the restaurant complex, there are eight guestrooms on the first and second floors (an additional wing of five rooms has yet to be completed), each floor offering an end room with a separate sitting area. Guestrooms are attractive, spacious, comfortable, and modern. They possess handsome tiled bathrooms, high-beamed ceilings, and wood floors. Each has a name that sets the theme of the décor, as in the Clair de Lune with its celestial painted ceiling. Rooms enjoy either a terrace or a balcony overlooking the pool.
