Karen's Review Of This Property:

Le Moulin du Roc is a small, picture-perfect 17th- and 18th-century stone mill hugging the bank of the River Dronne on the edge of the village of Champagnac de Bélair. Flower-filled gardens surround the mill and a little wooden bridge arches across the river to the swimming pool set amidst gardens on the opposite bank. The intimate dining room utilizes the weathered old beams and wooden parts and mechanisms of the original mill in its cozy decor. Preserving the traditions of fine gastronomy and employing established Périgord specialties, the restaurant has received many accolades. The bedrooms are intimate and exquisite. One particularly enchanting suite, the Seigle, bridges the river and offers a bedroom decorated in blue floral fabrics and an adjoining small bedroom with a single bed. The suite windows overlook the lazy River Dronne, the gardens, and the birch-lined pastures. On the first floor, Tournesol with its four-poster bed is especially romantic. If you want to economize, choose Blé, the least expensive guestroom. This is a small but charming four-poster corner room overlooking the river. Maryse and Alain maintain the excellent service extended to guests for so many years by their parents in this little piece of paradise.
