Karen's Review Of This Property:

I was so glad the owners contacted me about his charming inn as it gave me reason to return and fall in love again with this delightful coastal town. In Biarritz, casinos and grand hotels line the central beach whose end lighthouse seems to take a respectful watch and old fishermen’s cottages now house a number of terrace restaurants. The owners of this simple, intimate city hotel offer travelers a warm welcome in an attractive home converted to an intimate three-star hotel, just blocks up from the old port. Just off the entry is a small, attractive sitting room with a fireplace whose mantel boasts a lovely print of a couple dancing at sunset and a wonderful display of lighthouses. The breakfast room is opposite. There is one guestroom on the main floor, with the rest on the second and third floors up a beautifully banistered winding staircase. The decor throughout is appealing in its simplicity—whites and beiges against the beauty of a few wood furnishings. The clean, simple rooms are not overly large but each has a direct-dial phone, television, curtained-off closet area, and private bath.

Directions: Follow signs to Centre Ville and when near the beach on the Place Clemenceau, look for the Galleries Lafayette, which is just a block south of Rue Gambetta. There is parking in town or you can park on a nearby street.
