Karen's Review Of This Property:

Set on a cobbled street in the charming village of Ottrott, the 250-year-old L’Ami Fritz outshines all the neighboring grander hotels with its warmth, value, and charm, and the personal attention of the owners. Chef Fritz himself welcomed us when we arrived, even though he was dressed in chef’s attire and the lunch hour was fast approaching. The hotel has a lovely, elegant restaurant dressed in pinks and salmons with a gorgeous scene in wood inlay at one end and a painting of the weinstube at the other. Downstairs in the oldest part of the building, the weinstube is my favorite room—enjoy a meal here at tables set before a large open fire. Upstairs, the inviting breakfast room is dressed in red checks. Of the guestrooms I loved 101 to 105 on the first floor and 201 to 205 on the second floor. These rooms are all appealing and quite charming, decorated in large blue checks with a complementing French-country motif. Room 228, under beams and overlooking the foliage of the treetops that shade the terrace, is very charming in its red decor. If traveling with one child, you might request number 110, an appealing room, also decorated in reds, with a single separated from a double bed by a wood partition screen. This is easily now one of our favorite hotels in all of Alsace.
